The Bureau of Environmental Education is one of the founding members of
VINE (Virgin Island Network of Environmental Educators [I know there is a
missing "E"]). VINE began as an attempt to provide coordination
between individual environmental education programs. Our individual
programs now support each others programs and we are working to fill in voids that
have not previously been covered. We hope that this network will provide
materials and programs to allow you (our VI teachers) to provide our students
with a comprehensive Environmental Education experience.
Please remember that our goal is to provide your students with the best
educational opportunities. Please pass any suggestions comments or
programs you would like to see developed to one of our VINE members.

The Virgin Islands Marine Advisory Service on St. Croix has developed an
"Environmental Education & Information Directory". It was
last updated in early 2005. Hard copies of this directory are available
from VIMAS at UVI (for more information on VIMAS goto: rps.uvi.edu/VIMAS/index.htm).
They have allowed us to reproduce the directory on this web site. The
directory is comprised of two files, first a description of the organizations
and agencies involved, and second a table showing the activities each
organization coordinates. We will be updating this digital version
periodically. So for the most up to date information check back
here. To download these documents select DESCRIPTION
or TABLE (you will need an adobe reader
to view the files).
